I love words

I am definitely 

a word girl

I am 

the crazy type 

that listens 

to every word 

in a song 

and then 

I look up 

the meaning 

Of those words

and 

why the writer 

wrote them

in the first place 

I wonder 

why words 

touch my heart 

so deeply

I love poetry 

and writing

I’ve always 

been that way

I believe words 

are quite powerful

they can soften 

the hardest heart

as well as

cut to the core

to me

words 

can reach 

into the depths 

of a persons soul 

where nothing else 

can enter in
